LHS Reports

General Information

LHS Reports are peer-reviewed monographs published by Lawrence Hall of Science (LHS) and distributed both online and via hardcopy.  Each report presents a description of research, evaluation, programs, or policy statements and commentary related to LHS and/or its staff.  The purposes of LHS Reports include:

  • Building the professional community within LHS.
  • Serving as a vehicle for communicating and distributing the work of LHS and its staff.
  • Providing exposure for LHS in the larger education, research, and museum communities.
  • Offering an arena for individuals and groups at LHS to get advice regarding feedback on and support for their writing.
  • Serving a variety of audiences (including educators, museum professionals, researchers, and evaluators).
  • Serving as a venue for work that may not be suitable for existing publications.

The target audiences of LHS Reports depend upon the publication format and include educational researchers, academics, museum professionals, stakeholders, educators (curriculum and professional development), funders, policy makers, administrators, and teachers.
