Digital Cameras Overview:

Color digital cameras contain millions of light sensors that measure not just one band of light (light defined by a range of wavelengths), but three bands: red (R), green (G), and blue (B) light, which is often abbreviated as RGB. A digital picture contains millions of light measurements that may be used for storing memories, creating art, and collecting data for scientific investigations. This web site focuses on scientific exploration, but remember to photograph the memories and art within your environment when using a digital camera.
