A Planetarium at Your School

Our inflatable "bubble" planetarium can accommodate your entire class of students. After this three-hour workshop/training session, you will feel "at home in the dome" operating the Lawrence Hall of Science Traveling STARLAB. Learn how to present our "Constellations Tonight" planetarium program in which students use star maps to find constellations in the night sky. Also explore the concepts of Earth's rotation, time, and finding directions using the North Star. "Constellations Tonight" is part of the LHS Planetarium Activities for Student Success (PASS) series.

After attending a training, you can rent the STARLAB to conduct your own programs at your school. Once you have learned the basics of STARLAB operation, you may choose to progress to other uses of the planetarium that are published in the PASS series.

Cost of training at the Hall is:

$350 for up to 10 participants
There is an additional materials fee of $15 per participant.

To register, contact the LHS registration office at 510-643-5959.
