Spring 2013 Series–Springtime Animals
Young scientists will observe and hold animals and learn about their life cycles. Fun, take home projects will encourage further exploration at home. These workshops have the same curriculum as the Little Explorers Workshops at the Hall.
Ages 3-6 with participating adult

April 7 | Frogs and Tadpoles
Touch slippery frogs and bumpy toads. Watch them hop and swim. See what frogs look like when they are babies, learn about their life cycle, and meet some other amphibian friends.
May 5 | Baby Chicks
Feel the soft feathers of fluffy chicks, feed them worms and even see them race each other. Find out how mother hens care for their babies, go on an egg hunt, and make your own fluffy chick to take home.
June 2 | Ladybugs
Discover some amazing things about these tiny friends of the garden. Learn about how they fly, what they eat and how they grow from egg to adult. Release live ladybugs outside and feel them tickle you before they fly off to Ladybug Land..
The Lafayette Library and Learning Center is located at 3491 Mt. Diablo Blvd in Lafayette, just off the Oak Hill Road downtown Lafayette exit off of Highway 24. Classes are held in the Art and Science Discovery Room. Payment is nonrefundable unless the Hall cancels the program. For additional information call the Registration Office at 510-642-5134.
