The Lawrence Hall of Science develops and researches unique, effective learning experiences for use in many environments—from informal to afterschool to formal K-12 classrooms. Our renowned curricula, professional development programs, exhibits, and partnerships all support our goal of advancing the quality of science and math education. When a program is shown to work, we scale it up and make it accessible through multiple formats—to reach as many people as possible, from all walks of life.
Our experienced educators create instructional materials that are rigorously tested to ensure that they are effective. We are recognized leaders in several areas including curriculum design, ocean science, space science, mathematics and equity, and science and literacy.
