Have you wondered why some groups of people or neighborhoods are more affected by COVID-19 than others? Or why health hazards are more concentrated in communities of color than in white neighborhoods? In this online afterschool program, you will explore environmental data and health indicators to understand how public health researchers draw connections between the two. By the end of the program, you will be able to answer this question: How does our environment make us healthy or sick? Each participant will have the opportunity to create a personalized multimedia data story that brings together science with social justice.
