Q: Can I sign my child up for just one week of in-person camp?

A: For grades PreK-9, unfortunately no. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are having elementary grade campers commit to a three-week session of camp. The campers will be with the same pod of children and staff for the entire three-week period, with no mixing between pods. We believe this is the best way to keep the children and our staff as safe as possible. 

Q: Will The Lawrence be open to the public during camp time?

A: At this time we do not know whether The Lawrence will be open to the public during Summer Camp. We are working on several scenarios that include being open to the public in some capacity, but all scenarios include provisions for keeping campers and general public visitors separate. We will provide more detailed information about how we will manage this situation once we have confirmation regarding our reopening plans.

Q: When and where do I drop off my child?

A: Camp runs from 9:00 a.m. through 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. You may drop off your child starting at 8:45 a.m. and must pick them up by 4:15 p.m. each day. The drop-off location will be communicated to you in a welcome email the week before camp starts.

Q: Can I sign my child up for Extended Day?

A: Unfortunately no, we are not offering Extended Day this year due to the pandemic.

Q: How do I register for this program?


  1. To register for Summer Camps at The Lawrence, go to our Registration page
    • If you purchased our Online Summer Discovery Camps or After School Science Online classes in 2020, you already have an account. Use the email associated with your account and the password you created.
    • If you are a Member and this is the first time you have logged into our new system, use the email associated with your membership and click on “Reset Password.” If you don’t remember the email you gave us when you joined, please email and we will let you know the email address associated with your account. Please do not create a new account!
    • If you are not a Member and did not purchase anything from us in the past 12 months, please create a new account.

  2. During the registration process, we will have you acknowledge that you must provide a health form and immunization record for each camper enrolled in our in-person camps. A third-party provider, CampDoc, will be collecting and securely storing this information for us. You will receive an email from with instructions on how to provide this information. If you do not provide the information 3 weeks prior to the camp start date, your child will not be able to attend camp and you will not be issued a refund. Please look for this important email form

Q: Can I cancel or transfer a program I am already registered for?


  1. All programs are nonrefundable 3 weeks before the start of camp. If you cancel before that time in writing, you will receive a full refund. 
  2. You may transfer to another session (if space is available) if we receive your request in writing 3 weeks before your camp start date.
