The following policies help us allocate resources to provide the best experience for campers and families. Please read carefully. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!

Online Science Discovery Camps may be canceled for a full refund if requested in writing by 3 weeks prior to your camp start date. After this date no refunds will be issued. Camp sessions may be transferred until 3 weeks prior to the start of camp. After this date no transfers will be allowed.
Camp materials will be sent to the address you provided during the Registration process and should arrive in the week prior to camp start date. If you do not receive your camp materials by the Thursday 10 days before camp start, please contact the Registration Office or let your instructor know during Camp Orientation on the Thursday before the start of camp.
Our need-based financial aid provides opportunities for all young people to attend summer camps. These awards are allocated by The Lawrence Hall of Science Financial Aid Committee, based on requests and availability of funds. Online Science Discovery Camps require a computer with stable Internet access. Middle and high school coding camps require a MAC or a PC. School-issued chromebooks will not work. All camps will be delivered on the Zoom platform and require that participants be logged into a registered Zoom account. Please make sure that the email address provided on the registration form is the email address that is associated with the registered Zoom account. If you do not have computer or Internet access, please consider one of our camps onsite at The Lawrence.
Camp descriptions list the entering grade level for the student for the coming school year.
Full payment for all programs is required at time of registration. The Lawrence accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover Card, and American Express. Credit card payments will be processed securely online. Purchase orders cannot be accepted. Refunds are credited back to the charge card used to make the original purchase.
If you are a Member, we have already made you an account in our new system. If this is your first time in our new system (which debuted in summer 2020), use the email that you gave us when you signed up for your membership and click on “Reset Password” to confirm your account. If you do not remember or no longer have access to that email, please contact the Registration Office at lhsreg@berkeley.edu or 510-642-5134.
If you are not a Lawrence Member but would like to receive the Members’ discount, join online before registering for programs, or call the Membership Office at 510-642-1838.
