Visitors with disabilities can visit the Lawrence Hall of Science at a reduced rate. Discounts are provided for both general admission and groups. Groups must make a reservation before their visit by calling 510-642-5134 Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Sign language interpreters or other necessary attendants are admitted free of charge.
Accessibility and Amenities
All exhibition spaces, Forces Outdoor Science Park, the Discovery Corner Store, Bay View Café, and all public restrooms are wheelchair accessible. Restrooms are located on the lower “C” level in the main staircase and Auditorium lobbies. The lower “C” level is reached via the elevator near the Hall entrance.
A limited number of wheelchairs are available for loan, free of charge, at the Front Information Desk. Visitors need to leave an I.D. as a deposit when borrowing a wheelchair.
First Aid and Lost & Found are located at the Front Information Desk.
Benches are located throughout the Hall and outside on the Plaza Fountain and Forces Science Park.
If you need assistance operating an exhibit or have any questions while visiting the museum, please approach any Visitor Programs Staff member or volunteer wearing an LHS nametag or ask at the Front Information Desk.
Parking
Visitors who display a handicapped plate or placard may park in one of the 10 identified spaces in the Bus Circle directly in front of the Hall’s entrance. A drop-off area is also located in the same area.

The University runs shuttle busses connecting the main campus with the Lawrence Hall of Science and the Berkeley Bart Station. All UC shuttle busses are wheelchair accessible. Assistance Animals
Guide dogs and other certified assistance animals are welcome inside the Lawrence Hall of Science.
Audio Tour
The outdoor Forces that Shape the Bay exhibit includes an audio tour that can enhance the experience for visitors with low vision. Ask for a player and instructions for use at the Front Information Desk.

The Hall is committed to making all of our in-house workshops accessible to the hearing-impaired.
Call the Registration Office at 510-642-5132 ext 3 to book Hall programs and for assistance in arranging sign language interpretation. Please allow sufficient planning time to request interpretation.
