Summer Camp Public Education Specialist. The Summer Public Education Specialist position is an ideal opportunity for undergraduate / graduate students with a science-oriented mind and a relationship-oriented personality. In this position you will facilitate fun, engaging, and meaningful hands-on science learning for in-person camps and teen programs at The Lawrence. It is a great opportunity for professional growth and you will gain valuable experience in teaching science, technology, engineering, and math.
[Teen Volunteers] Teens entering 9th grade and above can volunteer for the summer at the Hall. They can help promote science and math learning by engaging visitors in hands-on science and math activities.
[Adult Volunteers] We’re always looking for science-lovers to help with hands-on activities at our special events, deliver interactive science demos, present at our Science On a Sphere (SOS)® exhibit, assist in our education workshops, and more.
Science at Cal is looking for an Events & Marketing Specialist to join their family. The Events & Marketing Specialist will take the lead in managing a full suite of events (including lectures, festivals, science cafes, panels, pub nights, and more), lead all digital and print media efforts (including all social, newsletters, flyers, branding, etc.), and help strengthen and create partnerships on and off campus.

The Outreach Educator works with learners of all ages (but primarily elementary-aged kids), making science fun with hands-on experiences and programs designed by The Lawrence Hall of Science, UC Berkeley’s only public science center. In addition to facilitating learning, this position also cares for the accessibility and safety of the learning spaces.
Are you a dynamic leader with a solid background in designing and facilitating hands-on, minds-on STEM learning experiences for diverse audiences? As a Floor Manager for UC Berkeley’s public science center, the Lawrence Hall of Science, you will work with an amazing team of staff, UC students and volunteers to design and deliver programs for exhibit spaces on the science center floor.

We are looking to hire seasonal Visitor Services & Retail Associates available to work any dates from 11/19-1/18. The Lawrence Hall of Science is UC Berkeley’s public science center. We welcome over 120,000 visitors per year, about half of whom are children. The Visitor Services & Retail team handles daily operation of the admission desk, the museum store, online sales, as well the manufacture and distribution of an educational craft kit called the Sunprint Kit.
