The Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) are based on the premise that the purpose of learning science is to help students understand the natural world, solve problems, improve their lives and communities, and make the world a better place. Environmental Literacy is deeply embedded throughout NGSS and should be deeply embedded throughout your science curriculum, too!
