In collaboration with the Public Engagement Program Director, the Associate Director of Floor Programs and Operations works to create a welcoming and enriching experience for all visitors by managing daily operations on the science center floor. This role supports staff and volunteers, trains on best practices, and ensures that visitor experiences are accessible, educational, and engaging. The position develops strategies to improve visitor satisfaction, supervises floor facilitators, and coordinates across departments for smooth operations. It also involves leading and planning educational exhibits and programs that promote understanding of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). The ideal candidate has strong leadership, excellent communication, a flexible, solution-focused approach, and a passion for equitable and enjoyable science education. A commitment to excellence in visitor engagement is essential.
Work Hours: Full Time, In Person 9-5:30, includes one weekend day.
Pay Range is $72,600.00 – $96,000.00, commensurate with experience
