Our Innovations & Inspirations benefit is the kickoff of a campaign to help Fund the Future of The Lawrence. This year’s featured initiative is our Animal Discovery Zone.
For decades, one of our most popular visitor experiences has been the Animal Discovery Room. We estimate that over 1.2 million visits have been made to this special space. Hundreds of thousands more learners have met our animal ambassadors through outreach visits. Through these experiences, generations of learners have gotten up close and personal with countless small mammals, birds, insects, amphibians, and reptiles. These engaging and personal encounters with animals promote understanding of animal behaviors and the importance of habitats, and foster a love of the natural world.
Through this fundraising campaign launched at the benefit, we will revitalize this beloved learning space space that has sparked wonder, curiosity, and delight, while developing core science skills, for millions of young people and their adults.
Your support will enable us to:
Early donors to our Animal Discovery Zone campaign who make a significant contribution have a unique opportunity to be recognized at The Lawrence.
Celebrating Nature’s Diversity is a multidimensional display of 50 of Joel Sartore’s stunning portraits of animals. The legend accompanying this display will not only identify the animals in the photographs, but donors who are championing our Animal Discovery Zone.
