The Lawrence Hall of Science
The public science center of the University of California, Berkeley.
10:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
On a visit to The Lawrence, students collaborate to investigate new ideas as they become scientists and engineers for a day.
We partner with school districts to support science learning. We offer district-wide elementary, middle, and high school programs, either virtually or in-person.
We collaborate with a range of partners to innovate in science education. Together, we go further.
Help us sustain and elevate our mission. Gifts to this fund support the public science center, new STEM initiatives and learning experiences, and immediate and critical needs across all programs. Core funding allows us to constantly be innovating and evolving, and serve the public in new ways.
Help reimagine learning encounters with live animals by making a gift to the Animal Discovery Zone Fund.
The Animal Discovery Zone is a planned renovation and reinvigoration of our longstanding and beloved Animal Discovery Room. New naturalistic habitats will help tell the stories of animals and ecosystems.
Inspire and prepare the next generation of citizens and scientists for the world of possibilities that biotechnology offers. The Biotechnology Learning Lab focuses on discovering the microscopic worlds inside all living things and sparking curiosity about how life’s processes can help us answer questions and solve problems.
Join us in our commitment to working toward a future in which every young person has access to engaging and effective science learning opportunities.
Support this rich and inclusive learning environment combining innovative outdoor learning experiences with renowned environmental education activities and professional learning programs.
