Live Interactive Planetarium Symposium 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (GMT+2) Alan Friedman, the first Planetarium Director at The Lawrence Hall of Science, was a pioneer in developing and nurturing techniques of audience participation in the planetarium world. This session honors his legacy by looking at his career, his accomplishments, and sharing of audience participation strategies that he promoted. Positions he held included founding Director of The Lawrence Hall of Science Planetarium, Director of the New York Hall of Science, and IPS President. His philosophy was that a planetarium best serves audience by actively involving them in doing various creative things during a program.
