Professional Learning Opportunity

Online professional learning community for all high school science teachers

Enroll in a year-long online PL opportunity
Collaborate with expert scientists and educators from the University of California, Berkeley to support the integration of climate and global change lessons into instructional units. We will use the Understanding Global Change framework to guide you in developing, supplementing or implementing curricula. The resources and methods shared will enhance your efforts!

  • Experience a lesson sequence that incorporates modeling, data analysis and environmental issues related to climate change.
  • Learn to support students to construct models to explain earth system phenomena.
  • Explore online tools and resources for teaching your lessons with other teachers.
  • Discuss strategies for equitable learning experiences and environmental justice connections.
  • Design and implement relevant phenomena-based lesson sequences that are NGSS aligned.

Teacher Stipends include:  $150 per full day 
$55 per after-school session
