We realize that planning for summer in these uncertain times is difficult. We also recognize that it can provide reassurance and stability for you to make careful plans for the future. As a parent, you may be looking to summer camp for the fun and inspiration it provides to your children, and to ensure that you can address summer childcare needs. With this in mind, we are putting our camps on sale and will offer full refunds on all camp purchases if camp is cancelled by The Lawrence or if you cancel by 5:00 p.m. at least 3 weeks before your camp session starts. Please note, refunds will be the only compensation provided if we determine that we cannot proceed with the camp program.
Feel free to email the Registration Office with any questions. Kindly allow one business day for staff to respond. Thank you for your patience!

Beginning in 2016, the State of California has required that up-to-date immunization and tetanus records be submitted to The Lawrence Hall of Science at UC Berkeley for each registered camper attending in-person camps. Proof of immunization is not required for online camps.
For in-person camps, the proof of up-to-date immunization and tetanus documentation, as well as a completed health form in English, are required and must be submitted for each registered child, at least 3 weeks before the child’s first day of camp. Failure to provide proof of immunization will result in cancellation of camp enrollment, and no refund will be given.
To make this process quick and easy, we’ve enlisted the help of CampDoc.com— the leading electronic health and record system for camps. After you register for camp, you will receive an email from CampDoc.com with instructions on how to complete your child’s medical information. For the immunization record, a physician’s or a school’s immunization record is acceptable. Please add register@campdoc.com as a “safe sender,” to avoid accidental delivery to junk and spam folders.
The following policies help us allocate resources to provide the best experience for campers and families. Please read carefully. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!

Summer Science Camps at The Lawrence may be canceled for a full refund if requested in writing by 5:00 p.m. at least 3 weeks before your camp session start date. After this date, no refunds will be issued. Camp sessions may be transferred (pending space availability) until 3 weeks prior to the start of camp. After that date, no transfers will be allowed. If The Lawrence cancels the camps for any reason, you will receive a full refund. Please note: Refunds will be the only compensation provided if we determine that we can’t proceed with the camp program.
Due to health safety policies determined by public health authorities and UC Berkeley, we will not be able to offer extended care this summer.
Campers are responsible for bringing their own lunch, two snacks, and a refillable water bottle full of water. Please do not bring peanut or tree-nut products, out of consideration for the safety of fellow campers with allergies. Please remind your campers to never share food or drink with other campers or staff.
Campers may visit exhibits, play games, partake in crafts, and participate in outdoor activities. Please send campers dressed appropriately and in layers, so they will be prepared for a range of activities in the Bay Area’s variable summer weather.
Our need-based financial aid provides opportunities for all young people to attend summer camps. These awards are allocated by The Lawrence Hall of Science Financial Aid Committee, based on requests and availability of funds.
