We’ll bring our science programs to you.
We partner with school districts to support science learning. We offer district-wide elementary, middle, and high school programs, either virtually or in-person.
We collaborate with a range of partners to innovate in science education. Together, we go further.

Turn over any log or rock, and it’s crawling with roly-polies—ever wonder why they spend so much time in those tight, dark, dirty spaces? Unfortunately, we can’t interview a roly-poly to find out! To answer this question and others, scientists need to get creative. In this program, you will sharpen your investigative skills by exploring the natural world. Together we will learn about all sorts of plants and animals, as well as the habitats in which they live. During the program you will dive in to figure out all you can about roly-polies, by observing, asking your own questions, and then trying to answer them through your investigative work as a “roly-poly naturalist.” You will gain real scientific investigative skills and even get to present your roly-poly investigations and findings to others.

Did you know that an asteroid can measure just a few feet across—or hundreds of miles long? In this program, you will journey through our Solar System to explore the asteroid belt and investigate specific asteroids. Together, we will figure out as much as we can about their surfaces and the challenges of landing on them. During the program you will apply what you learn about asteroids to design and build a rover and landing gear to explore an asteroid of your choosing. You will gain new knowledge of our Solar System and a good understanding of the engineering design process.

Anyone can turn a page with their finger, but wouldn’t it be way more fun to do it with dominos knocking into a ball…that turns on a hair dryer…that blows a hammer…on a string that taps a board…that triggers a catapult…that launches a ball… that hits a piece of rubber hanging over the page…that turns the page? In this program, you will explore engineering concepts and learn how engineers solve problems. Together we will investigate how things roll, fly, slide, and collide, while we utilize gravity, levers, pulleys, magnets, and more. During the program you will make some creative machines of our own, including a marble run and a Rube Goldberg machine. You will gain basic understandings of force, trajectory, magnetism, and motion.
