We’ll bring our science programs to you.
We partner with school districts to support science learning. We offer district-wide elementary, middle, and high school programs, either virtually or in-person.
We collaborate with a range of partners to innovate in science education. Together, we go further.

What essentials would you bring on a trip to Mars? In this program, you will “take off” into cutting-edge science and plan for the first human trip to the “red planet.” Together we will investigate the prospect of sustaining life on the martian surface, separating science from science fiction. During the program you will design and test systems for providing water, oxygen, and warmth, and will even build a model remote-controlled rover to collect samples from the surface. You will gain a deeper understanding of Mars, our most habitable neighbor; learn how we can identify potentially habitable planets; and explore the engineering design process.

Have you ever wondered what the impacts of climate change will be on our lives in the Bay Area? In this program, you will explore sustainable and adaptive engineering design. Together we will learn about rising sea levels, heat waves, and droughts, and will find ways to mitigate the effects of climate change. During the program you will build a model home and a city adapted to future life on the Bay. You will gain practical, sustainable, and adaptive engineering knowledge and skills to address the effects of climate change.

Did you know that lobsters pee in each others’ faces to communicate before a fight? How did scientists figure that one out?!? In this program, you will explore the process and power of creative scientific investigation. Together, as animal behaviorists, we will learn how to carefully observe animals in their habitats. During the program you will draft your very own interesting and investigatable animal questions, and then design and carry out creative experiments to answer them. You will gain real scientific knowledge, learn skills involving the investigative process, and gain insights into animal behaviors.
