Did you know that all the ‘visible’ matter that we know about, from atoms and gases to planets, stars and even blackholes, is only 5% of the total mass and energy in the universe? So what is that mysterious other matter? Scientists call this mysterious and unknown stuff ‘dark’ matter! Come talk with scientists at Berkeley Lab to hear about their ongoing work to understand and discover this elusive matter. Participate in activities for all ages and maybe even discover a sweet, dark treat! The Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory’s mission is to expand the frontiers of knowledge and deliver solutions for science and humankind.
