We’ll bring our science programs to you.
We partner with school districts to support science learning. We offer district-wide elementary, middle, and high school programs, either virtually or in-person.
We collaborate with a range of partners to innovate in science education. Together, we go further.
Get up close and personal with musical instruments and get inspired by the power of music! UC Berkeley student group The Music Connection will introduce visitors to woodwind, brass, percussion, and string instruments professional musicians use. Learn about how they work, how to hold them, and even try playing the instruments! Then, head over to learn about the math of music and science of sound in our featured exhibit, Making Music: Math + Science Out Loud.
The Music Connection (TMC) is a student organization at UC Berkeley that works to provide free, supplemental music tutoring for young musicians in the Berkeley and Oakland area. Our mission is to make arts education accessible for all families, regardless of socioeconomic background! Here at TMC, we believe in the power of music to help youth develop self-confidence, teamwork, and creativity. Our programs consist of private tutoring (one-on-one lessons) and in-class programs (group settings). Our organization is home to about 40+ tutors and 40+ students every semester – we hope to welcome more folks into our musical community soon!
