We’ll bring our science programs to you.
We partner with school districts to support science learning. We offer district-wide elementary, middle, and high school programs, either virtually or in-person.
We collaborate with a range of partners to innovate in science education. Together, we go further.
We are proud to announce that howtosmile.org has been endorsed by Homeschool Base and the homeschooling community as one of the Top 100 Educational Websites of 2018 and among the Top 10 for math! The Purple Stamp of Approval emphasizes howtosmile.org’s dedication toward making STEM education accessible to people of all ages and backgrounds.
Howtosmile.org was launched by the Lawrence Hall of Science, the Association of Science-Technology Centers, and a national network of science museums in 2010. It boasts over 3,500 science and math activities containing a variety of learning tools that educators and parents can easily search and filter through. The various science and math activities are free of charge and come from well-known sources such as leading science museums, professional science organizations, and universities. Howtosmile.org is a great resource for building interactive learning experiences for all ages.
Every year, Homeschool Base honors websites that home educators, teachers, and parents deem invaluable. According to the website, “Homeschool Base’s Purple Stamp of Approval honors exemplary websites, programs, and products that offer quality, innovative, unique, cost-effective, or significant value to homeschooling families.”
The Lawrence Hall of Science is honored that howtosmile.org has received this award from Homeschool Base and the homeschooling community.
A new exhibit at The Lawrence aims to demystify the latest technology and engage visitors’ curiosity about how AI works.
Because we know what engages children, we’ve put together a list of science kits, books, crafts, and more that make excellent gifts or stocking stuffers.
On Saturday, October 21, visitors and members were among the first to experience the new Animal Discovery Zone!
