Jessica Parker

Executive Director, Learning

Jessica (she/her/hers) provides vision and leadership across The Lawrence Hall of Science’s Centers for Learning. As Executive Director of Learning, she oversees the design, development, implementation, and scale of innovative products, programs, services, and research agendas with a focus on equity and social justice. Jessica’s career spans more than twenty years as a classroom teacher, a professor, a researcher, an administrator, and an executive leader. Before joining The Lawrence, Jessica was the Senior Director of Educator Engagement at the Exploratorium where she led the development of its institutional strategy for educator learning.  At Sonoma State University, she was an Associate Professor and Department Chair in Curriculum Studies and Secondary Education, where she co-founded the Maker Certificate Program. She is the author of Teaching Tech-Savvy Kids: Bringing Digital Media into the Classroom. Jessica received her Ph.D. in Education from the University of California, Berkeley.
