What makes a toy fun to play with? In this camp, young scientists will investigate what makes toys and simple machines do what they do. Together, we will explore a variety of toys to design, build, and test our own creations. Participants will use their creativity to transform recycled materials into a take-home toy with moving parts! Delve into electricity and the engineering design process, as well as mechanics of motion, levers, and linkages. Along the way, campers will use what they’ve discovered to add elements such as circuit boards to their toy. This program is perfect for first graders who love to use their imagination and invent new things!
