At The Lawrence, we make science learning fun. Just ask the millions of kids we connect with science every year. At Champagne Supernova, the fun is for you, grown-ups!
Join us Thursday, October 22nd from 5:30pm to 8:30pm for Champagne Supernova: a party that combines science and storytelling, an evening of short science talks to delight you and ignite curiosity.
The Lawrence Hall of Science and Ignite San Francisco have teamed up to bring you Champagne Supernova:
As you sample science specialties through entertaining lightning talks, you’ll be inspired by the bright scientific future we’re building at The Lawrence. We’ll eat, drink, laugh, and raise funds for The Lawrence’s important work!
General Admission – $150/Person
VIP Admission – $500/Person
Parties are more fun with friends! Host with a VIP package, and your entire group will receive the benefits of VIP Admission. You’ll also be recognized as a Champagne Supernova patron.

This is a chance to share something you find fascinating! We’re seeking volunteers to present lightning talks inspired by The Lawrence’s focus on science issues with global social impact and/or science we highlight in our public science center. Your talk can be geeky, poignant, funny . . . or you can get creative with music, spoken word, or any artful approach that can fit into 5 minutes and 20 slides.
Want to be considered? Submit your talk by Friday, July 24, 2026 at 5pm Pacific Time.
