The AI Behind Virtual Humans project will develop an interactive museum exhibit aimed at engaging youth and their families in learning about the capabilities and impact of artificial intelligence (AI). Visitors will engage in structured conversations with the Virtual Human—a life-sized, 3D animated Virtual Human character that looks, speaks, and acts like a real human. Designed to foster collaborative learning, the exhibit will let museum visitors peer “behind the scenes” of the Virtual Human and work together to learn how AI technologies drive the Virtual Human’s behavior. Through their interactions with the Virtual Human exhibit, visitors will explore and investigate AI technologies, and learn about the capabilities, limitations, and potential impacts of AI on our lives.
