SEPUP’s Issues and Science, a middle school curriculum developed by researchers and experts at UC Berkeley’s Lawrence Hall of Science, and published by Lab-Aids, just received “all green,” the highest ranking on EdReports, an independent nonprofit organization that reviews K-12 instructional materials for alignment to high-quality standards. The new report underscores the curriculum’s alignment to science education standards, usability, and instructional supports.
SEPUP (Science Education for Public Understanding Program), a program at UC Berkeley’s Lawrence Hall of Science, creates innovative issue-oriented science curriculum for use in 6-12 education. SEPUP’s programs emphasize hands-on investigations, real-world connections, and rigorous academic content.
For more than 50 years, The Lawrence Hall of Science has been producing research-based curricula. Issues and Science serves educators and students in grades 6–8 throughout the country. We are honored that EdReports has recognized this program as high-quality instructional materials.
