Science is a critical subject in elementary school because it helps to develop students’ critical thinking skills, encourages curiosity and creativity, and promotes scientific literacy. However, there are several challenges that elementary schools face when it comes to teaching science effectively. FOSS Pathways™ is the answer to these challenges and can help you engage students in phenomena-based learning and 3-Dimensional instruction. If you’re adopting K-5 science materials this school year, start your review of Pathways here.
You’ll learn about:
• Local phenomena storylines and age-appropriate learning segments • Manageable units for the time most schools dedicate to science
• Integrating ELA into Science and developing language
• New digital content – translatable resources, simulations, and assessment
Participants will receive a free trial access to FOSSWeb on ThinkLink™ and Investigations Guide of choice.
