Franco Munoz-McCue Franco Munoz-McCue is an Animal Science undergraduate student at UC Davis, currently working on animal nutrition specifically with white sturgeon. He has worked for an animal sanctuary in Australia where he helped build an enrichment activity for dingoes based on an animal behavioral study he co-led. He then worked alongside veterinarians in both emergency and clinical settings at the Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. Franco grew up in the bay area graduating from Archie Williams high school. In his free time he goes on runs around his neighborhood and plays board games. Leslie McGinnis, Ph.D. Dr. Leslie McGinnis is an ecologist specializing in plant-insect interactions. She earned her B.S. in Biology from the University of Washington and went on to teach middle school science in Los Angeles with Teach For America. After teaching, she earned a M.S. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Michigan and her Ph.D. in Environmental Science, Policy, and Management from UC Berkeley. Her dissertation focused on milkweed gardens and monarch butterfly caterpillars in the San Francisco Bay Area. When she is not spotting awesome insects and plants, Dr. McGinnis enjoys dancing Argentine tango and tide pooling.
