Introducing the Lawrence STEM Impact Hub: Streamlining Program Evaluation

How can your organization gather credible evidence of impact without building every evaluation tool from scratch? In this interactive session, participants will explore the Lawrence STEM Impact Hub, a subscription service designed for formal and informal STEM learning organizations and evaluators. Participants will learn how the Hub streamlines survey creation, data collection, scoring, and reporting using a curated library of research-informed measures.

Through guided activities, participants will practice defining an evaluation question, selecting measures that align with program goals and participant experiences, and choosing among post-only, pre/post, and retrospective pre/post study designs. The session will also introduce responsible survey administration and strategies for interpreting and using results to improve programs, communicate outcomes, and support decision-making. Participants will leave with an understanding of when the Hub is a good fit, how to begin building a survey, and how shared measures can contribute to stronger insights across the STEM learning field.
