Building Socio-Emotional Resilience is a prerequisite for the remainder of the program. This course invites participants to reground in their purpose and values, deepen their awareness of belief systems and how these show up in the workplace; and gain the tools to strengthen their relationships with self and others using the frameworks of Nonviolent Communication and Positive Intelligence. This course has three workshop sessions: Intentional Communication: In this session you will practice applying Nonviolent Communication to support values-aligned action and centering empathy in interpersonal relationships. Starting with Self: The first module grounds equity aspirations in the personal transformation required for organizational change and supports us in reconnecting with personal values, beliefs, and purpose. Preparing for Personal Accountability: In this session you will deepen awareness of personal tendencies and deepen self compassion to reclaim agency through the tools of Nonviolent Communication and Positive Intelligence. Who is this course for? This course is for anyone interested in having the tools that can lead to systems change, regardless of the title or role they may hold in their organization. We welcome: Seasoned and early career professionals who want to deepen relationships at work Executive leaders, directors, and managers who want to lead mindfully Professionals who want to grow their leadership skills and capabilities This course is part of our Leadership Essentials for Organizational Systems Change program, which is rooted in our belief that the capacity to achieve lasting systems change for racial equity depends on our capacity for personal growth, interpersonal effectiveness, and values-aligned leadership. This three-course certificate program offers skills development and resources in the areas of socio-emotional resilience, leadership development approaches, and strategies for systems change rooted in your individual sphere of influence. The program is made up of three sequential learning courses: 1) Building Socio-Emotional Resilience; 2) Collaboration, Feedback, and Accountability; and 3) Designing an Action Plan. Each course is made up of 3-4 workshops. Each course builds upon the previous one, and participants that successfully complete all three courses will receive a certificate of completion of the Leadership Essentials for Organizational Systems Change program.
