While AI holds the promise of educational efficiency, its implementation risks deepening a “new digital divide” rooted in how these tools are utilized across diverse communities.

This session moves beyond access to address the systemic challenges of algorithmic bias and the urgent need for linguistic justice in digital environments.

Participants will explore strategies for developing equity-centered principles for AI decision-making, ensuring that technology serves as a reflective instrument for inclusion rather than a mechanism for exclusion. By centering community-governed data and lived experience, educators can establish frameworks that prioritize relational integrity and safeguard the trust of all students and families.
